As the title of this blog suggests, this is the place to hear music that you will positively, absolutely, and most likely not hear anywhere else--probably. Of course, I can't guarantee that you'll definitely not possibly hear my musical selections elsewhere, but I can pretty much almost guarantee it. And that's more or less a promise. I stand by my word, usually (though not always). But it takes a somewhat honest person to admit that he doesn't always stand by his word, or at least to sort of hint in that direction.
But what about the music? Good question.
Anyway, let's start with an mp3 file dear to my heart. It's a 1913 recording, by Scottish evangelist William McEwan, of Will the Circle Be Unbroken, a famous song from the hills penned by A.P. Carter that was neither from the hills nor penned by A.P. Carter. In fact, it was written in 1907 by Charles H. Gabriel, with words by Ada B. Habershon.
And here it is, from a pretty scratchy old 78 (is there any other kind?)

You won't hear this one anywhere else. Unless you do, in which case, I was mistaken.
(By the way, I just found out that the spell-checker on this blog doesn't recognize... "blog.")
