OMG - I had that "Two Front Teeth" record when I was a kid.....wonder what happened to it.

Just dug out my GoodYear Sounds of Christmas hand-me-down LP's. They used to issue these every year and you could buy them at the tire dealerships for a buck or so. The contents were created just for these compiliations, and much of these songs have ended up on countless other Christmas collections - Streisand singing "Ave Marie" for example - and have become part of what our generation thinks of as Christmas music. Years ago I created tapes by playing the LPs one track at a time and recording the selections I wanted. Last Christmas, the ancient cassettes gave up the ghost. I'm going to try to rip some of these as MP3's and CD's that will at least buy our family a couple more years of favorites for Christmas - at least until the next generation of technology happens to make them obsolete!

I just unleashed the title track ("All I Want") on the cyberworld.

God forgive me.

CDs are supposed to be old news now, but I don't think buyers are getting the message.

Lee, you didn't list the version by Dick Byron and the Sandpiper Chorus that's included in this group. Bonus!

Thanks for letting me know. Yikes--how could I have forgotten that one? It's one of my favorites!

I was wondering if you happen to have come across a version of Jingle Bells where the singer (Male and sounds as if he's from the era of the Rat Pack from the way he sings) sings part of the song in a language that is not english. This version has been playing on the PA system at my work, a retail store, and it's been driving me crazy. I really like this version, and would like to be able to listen to it at home, and clearly... any help you could possibly give would be awesome...

Brandon,

That doesn't ring a, er, bell. (Groan!) Trini Lopez, or someone like that? Lou Monte?

Maybe one of my readers knows (?).

Lynda,

My pleasure! As we speak, a Part Four is ready to go up, one at a time, to Savefile.com.

I found out from my Manager that it's a scandinavian language... and that his Grandma owns and loves it... However, he can't remember who the artist is...
