Sunday morning gospel: Donna Bowling--The Greatest Friend of All

And now, courtesy of Rose Records of Vandalia, Ohio, here is Donna Bowling. Her accompanists include the Christian Family Singers. I'm guessing (based on Donna's hair style, the song titles, and just the general look of the cover) that these excellent tracks are from the late 1960s:

I just want to say thank you again today for the wonderful service you provide by posting especially the gospel selections each week. It's like a present I get to open each weekend to have this and I appreciate it so much. I can tolerate a lot of other things going haywire in my life as long as I have the tranquility that this blog gives me.

Wow! Glad to hear I'm having that effect (or my blog is, anyway). Seriously, thanks for the kind words. A musical spa is sort of what I'm trying to create here.

In fact, I just uploaded some easy sounds which start all the way back in (yikes) 1901.

Lee,

I finally took a serious listen to "I Pray My Way out of Trouble" by Donna Bowling. Thank you for posting one of the greatest country gospel recordings I've ever heard.
