A proud day for my family, Lee. Dad and five of his brothers in WW II, Dad and one of his brothers-in-law in Korea, and myself in Vietnam.
Heck, even Mom was a WAC during WW II!
Cool! Your service is greatly appreciated (at this blog, for sure).
My (late) Dad and I--both Navy--were lucky enough to land non-wartime service, though my Dad *had* enlisted during WWII. A war which ended halfway through his boot camp. He told me that Perry Como was playing over the base loud speakers at some point ("Till the End of Time," maybe?).
My biological Dad, I should note--Robert Howard, vice John, my foster dad who died last year.
