No, not Super Mario Galaxy! Rather, Sunday Morning Gospel, which I
almost had ready to go, but not quite. I'd underestimated the time it would take.
It all involved ripping tracks from two cassettes, and somehow I thought things would get done quickly. Well, no, since I was screening two hours' worth of music, all of which needed to be sound-edited to some extent. I realize this now. Live and learn.
I'll file this away in my "Lessons Learned" folder. (File, file.) There. Hey... wait a minute. What's this? (Read, read.)
Ah. It seems I did the same thing last year. And the year before. Dang. You know, maybe I should consult this folder more often. Lesson learned.
I'll file that away in the folder. "Check L.L. folder more often." Oh, wait--looks like I made that note before. And another time before that.
Anyway, SMG will be back next week with songs by Charles H. Gabriel. That's what I had on those two cassettes--Gabriel songs collected from a variety of thrifted LPs. Everything from
O That Will Be Glory to
As a Volunteer. There's even a recording of a fairly obscure Sunday School song by Gabriel, the name of which I can't remember. And the cassette is upstairs, so I can't consult it. I must make a note to check that.
(Write, write.) Just let me stick it in my "Things I Need to Do" folder. And I'll cross-file it in my L.L. folder, which I must remember to check more often.
In other news, last night's SNL was as bad as the show gets. The previous week had been brilliant, and I knew they wouldn't be able to follow it up, but I had no idea they'd try so hard not to.
