The Aimster (Aim) is: In.
Howdy! I've been busy preparing extra music for today's service--we have a new minister and are minus a music director. So I'll be the organist and interim music director. And I'll juggle, too. No, wait--I don't have stereo vision. Forget the juggling.
That is to say, Sunday Morning Gospel will return next week, AND with a guest rip. By which I mean that Martin D. from Georgia has kindly provided two Looper Trio LPs for this blog, and of course both will be going up. (Thanks, Martin!) So... the Loopers are on their way.
And the technical issues I mentioned last post are not completely resolved. I'm almost there. I had to remove my Rhapsody program, which was slowing down my PC following the latest Rhapsody update. I did my best to avoid updating the thing, lest it end up doing just what it did, but the dang software gave me no option. (The update prompt refused to leave; when I tried to close it, it temporarily froze my HP.) Anyway, Rhapsody all gone, and I've decided to download some WAV-to-mp3 freeware, though I have yet to look for same. (Any suggestions?) This will mean exporting music files from my MAGIX to the converter program (minus the middle step of burning a CD-R), then assembling the mp3s into a zip file, and then uploading the zip to online storage.
Combine that with the fact that none of my three browsers are interacting (interfacing?) properly with Blogger, and welcome to my blogging world. On Google Chrome, my paragraphs double-space and I can't use bold font or change font size. On Mozilla, I can't make hyperlinks. On Internet Explorer, things are slower than 1965.
Yet, I soldier on. Why? Because I'm a blogger. And bloggers blog. It is our destiny.
(Update: I was just now able to use bold font and italics here in Google Chrome. There's hope....)

You might try Audacity. I use that program a lot for audio editing.
Thanks. The thing is, I have an audio editing program (MAGIX), but it doesn't convert WAV to mp3 unless I buy some extra software. So I just need something to do the conversion. I had a free download a few years back that was just right, but I don't remember what it was....
Lee,
You might try foobar2000. You'll need to install the LAME mp3 converter and point foobar to it, if I recall correctly.
With Audacity (freeware), you simply import the wav file into the program and export it as an mp3 to your destination file.
Or you could try Switch Sound File Converter (freeware) - I'm not sure whether it handles wav but it converts most other lossless formats to mp3.
Good luck with your browser problems, and I wish you a very happy Independence Day.
Thanks, Mel! Same to you.
Ditto to Buster.
Here in central Ohio, I'm wishing for some less humid heat! Sun is fine, but I like to see it through unfoggy glasses. Hope you're enjoying a less muggy holiday.
