However, I had recently backed everything up to an external drive, so little has been lost.
My PC is being given a new C drive as we speak--I'll likely have it back soon. I'm switching PCs with Bev, anyway. Bigger, more powerful, and with Windows 7. And a touch screen. Best news ever for my carpal tunnel.
What did people do before computers? Besides not Net surf?
Here is a promo/preview/ad? for a marvelous comedy called Polterguys. I assume this is an actual series waiting to be aired--if so, I hope someone picks it up. Of course, it's so close to the real deal, Syfy might pass, figuring its current fare is funnier. By the way, "Imagine greater" is a really dumb slogan for Siffy, since nothing is easier than imagining greater programming from them. I mean, it's a bigger joke than AMC, which is impossible, but nevertheless the case.
Anyway, Polterguys: http://www.chaostheoryent.com/polter/polter.html The whole group is brilliant, with Margaret Easley especially funny as the self-absorbed psychic (is that redundant?). If you see Margaret and say, "Wasn't she in that commercial for (name of brand)?" she probably was.

Sorry to hear about your computer issues...after my very first PC was fried when we had lightning hit a pole on my street in 1997, my middle name has been backup. Good that you covered that. I had the notion a few weeks ago to do a backup of my iPhone, hadn't done it in a couple months. The next morning at work (Goodwill) a truck driver managed to dump my phone into my morning coffee when he picked up a bundle of paperwork from my desk. Submerging an iPhone into an inch of coffee = a phone that works perfectly...except the touchscreen no longer lights up.
And StirFry is abominable. I used to love their late night silent restorations, got my first real viewing of The Golem there. Now my son and I turn on a few minutes every weekend to see what disaster or hybrid monster Marathon is running, make fun and puns of the horrible CGI work they seem to excel(?) in, and then change channels. AMC is an even bigger disappointment.
Have fun with the Windows 7 machine!
Yeah, that's pretty funny. And Ms. Easley seems pretty cool. Did I tell you she's in a Publix commercial here all the time? Maybe not so much here as there, but she's still around.
Yes, you mentioned the Publix ad. She keeps a regular tube presence, though I swear that I've only seen her once or twice following my tribute post. I'm sure there's no causal connection, yet....
Thank you so much for the nice words! Hands down one of my favorite projects yet! :)
