Ferde Grofe's fabulous Rocketship XM soundtrack from 1950 has just been released on CD by Monstrous Movie Music. Check out MMM's entire catalog for a mind-blowing time.
One of my all-time favorite sci-fi movies, and not just because Grofe did the score, though that does have a lot to do with it.

No, it's a reissue of the soundtrack. Of the Starlog label album, to be precise. Sorry for the ambiguity--I've changed the post wording. By the way, is it just me, or are these word verification getting near-impossible to do? In making the letters scanner-proof, Google is making them illegible.
Word verifications, I mean.
