Thanks for the music, Lee. You gonna be able to keep going for eight more days? It's getting harder and harder!

Interesting! My parents owned an LP of Christmas songs, credited to The Caroleer Singers and Orchestra, on the Diplomat label, released in 1966. The owner of the Diplomat label (as well as Peter Pan Records) was Synthetic Plastics from Newark, New Jersey.

Yes, this recording of "Kris Kringle Jingle" was included on the 1966 LP record. Bobby Stewart is *not* credited (nor is anyone else, other than the anonymous Caroleer Singers). So, Synthetic Plastics was reusing the same Christmas recordings (or at least one of them) years later, long after the 78 era ended.

SPC was shameless in its use and re-re-use of material. 78-wise, I think they kept the format going longer than most labels. I read that someplace, anyway.

When my mother died in 2013, I wanted to honor her with a special song on my 2014 Xmas CD. I had a MP3 of the Bob Jones song that I used but had no other information about the track.

I saw this and I began to wonder who was cutting onions. I needed a Kleenex.

Thanks Lee - I cannot begin to tell you what this entry means to me.
