Non-stop idocy

Anymore, I get stupidity like this two or three times a day in the comment section:

"you're in reality a just right webmaster.
The web site loading pace is amazing. It kind of feels that you're doing any distinctive trick.
Moreover, The contents are masterwork. you have done a fantastic task on this subject
!"

Is this stuff generated on Mars?  Is it Martian to English?  And what is it supposed to accomplish?  It's clearly spam, but it includes no links.  Maybe it's coming from a mental institution.

Anyone have any idea what this stuff is?  I mean, if it is another planet someplace trying to make contact with our world, I should be notifying NASA.  Or the SETI Institute.

Only thing I can think is English is a pretty quirky language to learn. Nothing as ridiculous as Mandarin but has enough of its idiosyncrasies that probably make a (name your 1st language here) translator slightly confused on what you might be trying to say......and, of course, your English output from said translator looks good to you so you post it......

It could also be that the Mars Rover is beaming back the Martians love for the excellent website run by Really a Just Right Webmaster......

Funny stuff though......

Ha! Yes, very entertaining. I just hope I'm not doing something mean by putting these in my spam folder--maybe they're genuine attempts to leave nice words for the blog. Problem is, they've been coming in droves, having started recently (first at old posts), and they all sound alike. A minority have the usual links. Being an over-thinker and over-checker from way back, I Googled a couple to see if they were being put at other blogs. Yup. Word for word.

Of course, we could be talking one of the MOONS of Mars, not Mars itself.

Brought to you by the makers of Nigerian currency letters, only the best fractured English for our adoring suckers...I mean, public!

Funny, I don't get anything like that. Perhaps I am a just adequate webmaster.

For a while there I was getting spam ads in Arabic advertising a local business in Jordan or somewhere in the Mideast. I couldn't figure out why they thought my hardy band of followers would patronize their establishment.

Hi, I read your blogs regularly. Your story-telling style is awesome, keep it up!

That's a good one, haven't seen anything quite so disjointed as that! :)

For my own part, whenever I leave a comment for someone operating out of another country (or whose page is primarily in a non-English language) I will customarily include my original English text along with the translated version.

This allows them to compare my original intent against my attempted translation. No SPAM-bot would go to that much trouble.

Eeek! I'm scared! Not by the monster. By human stupidity. What else?

Lee, I thought you were MIA, or maybe I was just missing the action. Thanks for the long-ago post of Grofe's "Metropolis." Since you are Grofe's most ardent online devotee, maybe you can dig up "Three Shades of Blue." In any case, expect me to come calling daily. You were one of the first to explore cyber-archeology. By the way, since you also invented the far-out Christmas playlist, could you dig up Vincent Lopez's 1939 record of "Cute As Christmas." I found a scratchy copy but this deserves your finesse.

Those English translated comments that don't quite fit reality are most likely from a Russian hack-site, attempting to infiltrate your mind by not asking for anything at first, nor prompting a link click. After they gain confidence, then the tricks will become apparent. Always keep on your guard, amigo! Don't let complacency infiltrate your psyche. Time will reveal the ruthless & dangerous offenders. The Martians, on the other hand are not so coy & more direct in their approach. They are usually intro9duced in the bloodstream & then flow outwards to the teeth & thus scattered in the air we all must breathe. but at least with THEM, we know who our enemies are. I, henceforth, have been plotting defection to Mother Russia, so's as to not arouse suspicion & THEN & ONLY then, will i accordingly take full control of the Kremlin & partake in a final blow to overthrow them lousy Ruskies. Meanwhile, i'll be in my room, having milk & cookies.
