Season's Greetings, 1967--Guide Dogs for the Blind Inc.

This was the best I could do, scan-wise.  The label contains a type of white lettering that shows up perfectly at the proper lighting angle, but there's no way to duplicate it on a scanner.  With my photo software, I could have made the lettering stand out a lot more, but the blue-green (or is it plain blue?) label would have looked way overexposed.  I hate messing with contrast.  Just try tipping your laptop or PC screen--maybe that'll do it.

This holiday disc is a lot of fun.  It's unprofessional in the best way--honest and filled with single-take readings, with the sound of the mic being passed around, even.  Beats by many miles the stilted, trained-announcer stuff that we sometimes encounter on a recording like this, because these are the actual members speaking from their hearts to the folks they serve.

Season's Greetings 1967--Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc.
